what is Electrostatics
It is the branch of physics which deals with charge at rest (some time charge may move for very short time interval) without using External energy supplier(that is Battery)
Charge
It is intrinsic property of substance due to which they can intract electrically(or Magnetically) with each other.
There are two types of charge
Mass of body is dependent of velocity(At very high value)
m=mo/√(1-v^2/c^2)
m=moving mas of the body
mo= Rest mass of the body
v=velocity of the body
c=velocity of light(3x 10^8 m/s)
Unlike the mass charge of the particle does not depend on velocity.it means charge is relativistically invariable.
Specific charge
- It is the ratio of charge and mass of particle.
- specific charge =charge/mass=q/m
- specific charge of moving particle is smaller than the specific charge of particle at rest.

Charge is Quantized in Nature
It is because of charging of any body depends on loss and gain of electron of electron so we can not transfered the electron in fractional number,Hence charge of any body is given by following Equation.

➝For particle purpose Quantization of charge is not valid because charge on electron is very-very small as compair to charge on general body.
Quark Model
According to this model proton and neutron are made of Quark.One proton/neutron is made of 3(three) Quark.Quark have charge less than the e(electron).(i.e 土2/3 e,土1/3 e,)
1 proton(1) =(+2/3 e)+(+2/3 e)+(-1/3 e)
1 neutron(0)=(+2/3 e)+(-1/3 e)+(-1/3 e)
➝Indivisual Quarkcan't be isolated(seperated) and transfered so Quadtization is still valid.
