write the electronic configuration of cr (z=24) and cu (z=29)
In case of Cr= [Ar]4s^2 3d^4 is wrong because it not in stability but it is possible to in stability
stability means any element have electronic configuration is half-filled or Full-filled in the orbital diagram then it is more stable
electronic configuration of Cr=[Ar]4s^1 3d^5
Or, Cr=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^1 3d^5
in this case we remove one electron in the 's' subshell and gives 'd' subshell.
- 's' subshell half-filled shown in figure.
- 'd' subshell half-filled shown in figure
electronic configuration of Cu=[Ar]4s^1 3d^10
Or, Cu=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^1 3d^10
in this case we remove one electron in the 's' subshell and gives 'd' subshell.
- 's' subshell half-filled shown in figure.
- 'd' subshell full-filled shown in figure
