If a vector 2i+3j+8k is perpendicular to the vector 4i−4j+ak,then the value of a is

Solution:- Given that vector A=2i+3j+8k

and vector B =4i−4j+ak

According to question, 

Vector A. Vector B =0

(2i+3j+8k).(4i−4j+ak) =0

⇒8-12+8a=0

⇒-4+8a=0

⇒8a=4

⇒a=4/8

 ⇒a=1/2 ans
