प्रश्न 3.एक A.P. में(i) a = 5, d =3 और an = 50 दिया है । n और Sn ज्ञात कीजिए ।
हल:- दिया गया है कि a = 5, d =3 और an = 50
प्रश्नानुसार,
an = 50
चूँकि हम जानते हैं कि an= a+(n-1)d
इसीलिए,a+(n-1)d=50
⇒5+(n-1)3=50
⇒5+(n-1)3=50
⇒(n-1)3=50-5
⇒(n-1)3=45
⇒(n-1)=(45/3)
⇒(n-1)=15
⇒n=15+1
या n=16
इसलिए, Sn=(n/2) [a+an]
अर्थात, S16=(16/2) [5+50]
=8×45
=240
अतः उस AP के n=16 और Sn=240 है।
