 A wire is bent to form a square enclosing an of 484 m^2.using the same wire a circle is formed. Find the area of the circle.

Solution: Given a wire is bent to form a square enclosing an 484 m^2 so, we can write

Area of square=484 m^2

Also, a^2=484

⇒a=√(484m^2)

a=22 m

Hence length of side of square=22 m

According to Question, same wire is formed a circle so,

Perimeter of circle=perimeter of square

2πr=4×22 m

⇒2× (22/7)× r=4×22

⇒2× (22/7)×r=4×22

⇒r=(4×22×7)/(2×22)

⇒r=2×7

r=14 m

Hence area of circle=πr^2

=(22/7)×(14)^2

=(22×14×14)/7

=616 m^2
